An improved version of cellular technology which is much better than LTE has been in development for years now and in fact, it’s already being deployed in key areas around the globe.

So let me explain each of these steps in greater detail below.

1. Stay Away from Radiation as Much as Possible

In our day and age, almost everyone owns a mobile device and the average person spends 2+ hours using their device each day.

Many of us put our cell phone in our pockets so we can conveniently have access to it as needed.

Believe it or not, some women even carry their phones in their bra at the gym or when they do not have pockets.

In short, almost everyone carries their mobile devices on them all day long.

While these are convenient things that we do, it is important to keep in mind that they also increase radiation exposure.

When we talk about 5G radiation, I would recommend that you stay away from electronics and products that emit radiation as much as you can.

This can sound like something that’s easy to accomplish but the truth is, it can be hard if you need constant access to your mobile device for work or to keep in touch with friends and family.

However, it doesn’t mean that you need to have the device close to your body all day, every single day!

When you you are not actively using the device, there are several steps you can take to help reduce your exposure to 5G radiation that is coming from your mobile device:

  • Turn your device off if you’re not using it. The best time for you to do this is during the night or while you are at work if you bring your personal phone with you and don’t need to use it during work hours. Or if you have a work phone, there is no reason to keep your work and personal phone on at the same time.
  • Don’t keep your device close to your body at night. It is best to put it in a separate room if you’re charging it so you can avoid exposure to radiation while you are sleeping. If you want to be sure you hear it, you can put it in a separate room on loud, in case of an emergency call.
  • Put it in a separate bag instead of putting it in your pocket all the time or purchase an EMF Shield which we will talk about more in this post later. This gives you more distance from it rather than having it very close to your body whenever you place it in your pocket.
  • Find ways to limit the time when your device gets in contact with your body especially when you are making or taking calls. You can use a hands-free kit, loudspeaker, or headphones whenever possible.

You can apply these same steps for other devices such as Wi-Fi routers, laptops, computers, and many others that are going to be updated in the long run so they can have access to 5G.

Put routers away from communal rooms if it is possible as this will help lessen exposure to harmful radiation while you are at home.

2. Measure Radiation Levels

This might sound a bit drastic but if you really want to take your exposure to 5G to a minimal level, then you surely want to do this.

5G belongs to the electromagnetic field category which means that it is easily detectable when you’ve got the correct device.

At present, there is no EMF meter in the market that is able to detect 5G and this is because there’s no requirement yet.

If you’re very concerned about 5G then it should not be hard to find locations where reception towers are found.

These devices don’t single out a particular type of radiation but it will identify sources of high radiation around a particular location.

Being able to find 5G spots whenever you’re on travel will help you identify better routes that can help you avoid such radiation.

There’s a very small number of 5G reception towers at present but it will not be long before it’s going to be implemented all over the country.

If you need protection from EMF radiation, you can find different cases that will help do this and most of them are lab tested with customer reviews to back their claims.

This might completely not remove the risk of 5G radiation but they will reduce it by up to 92%.

Just be wary about purchasing them online because there are others that claim to be very effective than are actually not.

You will find a wide range of products that protect against radiation including amulets and even jewelry but I would say that these products won’t really bring much protection so just avoid them.

The best shield if you really are into protecting yourself and your family against 5G radiation from phones are dedicated cases. There are also diodes that you can put directly onto the device itself.

They are inexpensive options that are definitely worth trying but be careful because there’s still no way to test their effectiveness.

Bigger EMF shields are also available if your really are serious about getting rid of 5G radiation from devices like TVs and computers but most of them come in the form of large metal cages.

They are effective but they’re not the nicest stuff when it comes to the aesthetic value and overall presentation.

4. Get Your Home Protected from 5G

I have mentioned some EMF shields above but there are some other things that you can do to limit exposure to 5G radiation when you are at home.

It is important to take note of the tips that I am going to list below especially because 5G is going to be rolled out globally soon.

When this happens, most devices and electronic appliances will soon be 5G enabled so it is important to learn some ways to protect your home as early as now.

Here are some tips that you can consider:

  • Unplug your Wi-Fi router or turn off the other Wi-Fi enabled devices if you’re not using them. This is important especially when children and pregnant women are around since too much exposure to radiation can have plenty of negative effects on development and overall health.
  • Clear your bedroom of devices like phones, tablets, and others that run on 5G frequencies and produce other types of radiation. This will not only improve your sleep pattern but also reduce your exposure to radiation while you’re in a particular room where you spend plenty of hours, especially at night.
  • Purchase paint that protects your house from EMF or at least limits the amount of radiation that is able to penetrate walls. Just like the EMF fabrics that I have mentioned above, this can be a bit expensive especially if you plan to paint the whole house with it.

The most important thing to remember if you’re trying to protect your dwelling from radiation that comes from 5G networks is to practice moderation and properly educate yourself about it.

This is very important especially to children since they are dependent on us adults telling them what is right.

Teach your children about moderation especially if they are fond of using mobile phones for extended periods while at home.

If children are taught about these things while growing up, they’ll be able to make informed decisions as they become adults themselves.

This might seem like an unusual tip when trying to reduce exposure to 5G radiation but it is equally important to the other tips in this guide.

Your diet can actually make a big difference in radiation exposure’s effects.

And just like the other tips that are listed here, it will not remove 5G radiation but instead, it is going to help in combating the effects of exposure.

If you can, it would be a good practice to walk at least 5-10 minutes each day outside without wearing anything on your feet.

Researching and watching news about it will give you more idea on the current tests and studies being done about it.

The biggest issue would be its effects on the human body especially now that it’s already being implemented without the needed studies on its effects after prolonged daily exposure.

Just like anything else that’s important in this life, it is always best to learn as much as you can about 5G so that making informed decisions will be easier in the long run, especially on the aspect of 5G radiation and its risks.

We do not fully know the extent of the dangers that it carries with it but there is plenty of information out there about 5G radiation which we can get some ideas from.

Just be sure that you’re knowledgeable of the current trends and thinking about this technology so you can plan more effective ways of dealing with 5G radiation.

 

Is 5G Really Safe?

When talking about EMF radiation such as 5G, the word “safe” is something that’s hard to use.

There are plenty of risks that are already known to be caused by exposure to different forms of radiation but the question is, how dangerous it can be to humans?

Of all the millions of people around the world who are using electronic devices every single day, the effects of radiation exposure aren’t really common and that is because it is impossible to see what long-term exposure to low-frequency radiation has on the human body.

And that is because most of these technologies have not been around for that long for us to perform such long-term studies.

However, there are plenty of studies that were able to find a connection to low-frequency radiation and certain health issues and conditions and that includes:

  • Free Radical/Oxidative Damage
  • DNA Damage
  • Disruption of Metabolism in Cells
  • Reduction of Melatonin Levels
  • Production of Stress Proteins
  • Increase in the Permeability of the Blood/Brain Barrier

Back in 2011, the World Health Organization issued a statement that radio frequency is one of the possible causes of cancer.

The link has not been confirmed explicitly, but this claim alone should raise concerns about 5G and its use in cellular networks.

It should lead us to ask, what sort of effects can it have on human health?

5G is different from the previous versions of cellular technology because it uses a much shorter form of wavelength.

This alone can have different health implications but the biggest concern is how many reception towers are needed to make 5G available to users.

This will then lead to even higher levels of 5G radiation than what we have already seen before.

Currently, the plan is to place reception towers or reception boosters on every building, just to provide the connectivity that users expect from their mobile devices.

4G towers are already very common but in order to implement 5G, there will need to be 5G towers too, and they are going to be placed in every place where they will be needed.

So if you ask me how safe 5G is, then my answer is – we don’t know yet at this stage.

One thing that we already know is that exposure to 5G radiation is going to increase and it’s going to be higher compared to previous cellular tech generations.

 

Risks, Concerns, and Negative Effects of 5G Radiation

 

Looking at it from the perspective of health, the greatest concern is primarily on the increased waves that 5G will have compared to that of 4G and the previous generations of cellular technology.

It is important to note that with 5G, there’s going to be more reception towers and more devices that emit 5G radiation.

This technology also uses frequency that has shorter wavelengths (the main reason why more towers are needed) which is known to have difficulty in penetrating trees, walls, and the human skin.

It does not reach far distances as well.

This can potentially mean less danger compared to 4G when we look at its weak penetration properties but the real health risk is actually on the prolonged and increased exposure to 5G itself.

This new cellular technology will just increase as its use becomes mainstream.

When this happens, you will have fewer and fewer chances of avoiding 5G radiation while going on with your daily life.

With this, the risk of experiencing adverse effects on your health will also increase.

For instance, France passed a law that prohibited 5G towers from being put too close to daycare centers to help lessen children’s exposure to EMF radiation.

In Namibia, a study has been done which ordered a ban on showing advertisements about mobile devices to children so as to reduce their exposure to radiation.

Clearly, there is some cause for concern.

In the end, the negative effects and concerns about 5G still need more research but we know there is risk, we just don’t know the extent of it.

We can’t be certain about its effects unless conclusive pieces of evidence are obtained on the health risks that it poses.

WHO’s study is currently the one that’s being commonly used worldwide and it states that radiation from EMF frequencies might have links to cancer.

But there must be a more definitive link to this so that the next steps can be taken.

Studies on 5G Radiation

The studies that have been done on 5G are not as extensive as the ones done for the previous generations of cellular technologies.

This is because the technology is still new.

The things that these studies found are still not to be taken seriously for now because of the possibility that bias may still exist behind them.

For example, a link has been found by The Nation between the telecom industry and the attempt to downplay the risks and health dangers that 5G radiation brings.

As I have already pointed out earlier, one of the crucial studies that have been done on 5G was done by the World Health Organization back in 2011.

It placed mobile devices in the class 2B carcinogen category which means that there can be a link between them and cancer.

However, this particular grouping is also where pickles and aloe vera belongs so it’s something that will certainly be met with skepticism.

One important area in research that needs further investigation is the impact that 5G radiation has on children.

The new generation is becoming more dependent on mobile devices very early in life so it is important to study the risk that this poses.

At present, a study is currently being made by Mobi-Kids across 13 countries to find more detail on this aspect.

The information has recently been released by the National Toxicology Program on different studies that were performed about the dangers that mobile signals may cause.

The most important thing that should be taken into consideration from these studies is that they only used two old generations; 2G and 3G.

This shows how much research is lagging behind in terms of research on mobile networks.

Conclusions also hard obtained in these studies.

To stress the lack of research on 5G radiation, looking into the most current issues is important.

Just April of last year (2018), a halt was called by the International Society of Doctors for the Environment on the rollout of 5G mobile networks so that more research can be conducted on its effects.

The society has stated that this decision is a form of precautionary measure which, even at this point, still doesn’t show any explicit link between, 5G radiation and certain negative health effects. However, it asks for more time to be spent on research regarding its effects.

The main thing to really consider about these studies is that there still are no conclusive links between 5G and the risks that may come as a result of being exposed to such radiation.

Again, there’s a need for even more research before it can be rolled out.

But this is very unlikely to happen because the technology itself is already starting to be rolled out in different countries as of writing this article.

And the studies that are needed would take several years to yield conclusive results.

As 5G users, it is our responsibility to do whatever it takes to reduce our exposure to such radiation which has the potential of causing harm to your health.

We need to do steps based on the current research and be watchful of any changes in the future. But the very important thing that we need to do is to always look into the background of the research itself since there are some that are actually backed by different companies which can benefit from the results.

5G vs 4G Radiation

One of the main differences between 4G and 5G is the form of frequency waves that they use.

The former uses lower frequency which enables it to broadcast to further distances so there’s no need to set up as many reception towers.

5G, on the other hand, needs more reception towers to cover large areas because it uses shorter wavelengths at higher frequencies.

This would mean that mini cell receptors are going to be installed in almost every home just to have good signal coverage.

So what does this imply?

It actually means that there will be higher levels of radiation that you’re going to be exposed to, especially if you have lots of devices and appliances that run on 5G.

The real impact of this new cellular technology has not been fully tested yet so it is best to be very cautious at this stage and take some measures to decrease your exposure to radiation.

The fact that 5G networks are now being introduced as something that would replace 4G actually means that there’s a significant difference between both technologies, but what are the differences exactly?

We will learn about that even more as we move to the next section.

Two Technologies, Two Different Frequencies

Networks that are identified as 4G actually run on frequencies that are below 6GHz while 5G networks will use frequencies between 30GHz and 300GHz.

This means networks that use 5G are operating on frequencies that are higher than 4G and therefore uses radio waves that are designed for short-range communication only.

5G cannon reach distances as far as 4G does but, it will be more efficient in terms of bandwidth and connection speeds.

Directional accuracy is just another aspect in which 5G has an advantage compared to 4G.

Reception towers that use 4G are working via radio waves being directed to different directions.

This isn’t the most energy-efficient way of sending and receiving data to and from customers.

Unlike 4G, 5G gives useful data about beams that are found to be accurate compared to 4G.

It has the potential of supplying fast connections and more bandwidth for over 1000 devices per square meter compared to 4G.

5G is Really Fast!

The use of radio waves that are on the higher frequency can truly increase bandwidth and connection speeds.

This then results in internet connection speeds that are 20 times faster compared to what 4G networks can provide. In this scenario, a webpage can be loaded in as quick as a millisecond.

But the sad thing is that this higher frequency signal will potentially suffer from different sources of interference like buildings, weather, and others.

That is the reason why there’s a need for more reception towers spread throughout an area but this will also mean more exposure to radiation.

Conclusion

5G is a concept that is still new and its effects on overall health and wellness have not yet been studied well.

There may be studies that show the link between a person’s exposure to EMF radiation and certain diseases like cancer but there are still more things needing to be done.

Other studies even gathered a deeper understanding of the effects of prolonged exposure to radiation and that it’s something that we really should be focused on.

That is why it is important to look into what studies found out and base decisions according to those results.

Educating ourselves is the most important thing that we can do so be sure to take proactive steps to lessen your exposure to 5G’s radiation whenever you can.

Just by changing some aspects of your daily routine, you can learn to limit radiation exposure every single day.
